Aran and Patrick found out that they were expecting their third child in August 2011. While Aran was openly hoping for a baby girl (already mother to two little boys) to spoil in her favorite color PINK, all they prayed for was a healthy addition to their already precious family of four. This book is a truly amazing display of a parents devotion, love and faith. Aran wrote this book in a way that makes you feel like you were right there on this heart wrenching journey with her and her family. I was laughing when they did, crying when they were and asking the same questions they did. Once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down. The Hissam's truly gave all they had for the fight of their life and NEVER gave up on Brianna, it was both commendable and inspiring. The self-less acts continue with 100% of the proceeds from the book going to the foundation they created in Brianna's name, what a beautiful tribute.
Wow! What a wonderful reflection of a family's journey and how helpful this book will become to many in the same situation. It's a comfort to have somewhere to turn for guidance, education and to receive answers. This read is like sitting across from a couple and having them share the most intimate of details of their experiences through an extremely difficult time. If you are searching for a gift or don't know what to do for a couple going through a high-risk pregnancy, put this book in their hands. I believe this book is going to be life-changing for so many. I can't imagine how difficult this was for Aran and her family. She puts into words every up and down they went through with Brianna. I love how honest she was in every aspect of this journey. A must read!!

I got this book yesterday in the mail. I started reading it...and just couldn't put it down. I ended up finishing the book late last night. The book is so full of emotion that I was crying one minute, mad the next and never lost hope throughout.
The author did a wonderful job showing the raw emotion of what this type of journey can do to a mother, to a wife and most of all to the whole family. It makes me want to be a better mother to my own children..to realize that each day is a blessing and to never give up home even when it seems impossible.
